Who We Are

About Osaka Map

Osaka Map is operated by the Osaka Map Team, an independent group dedicated to helping international visitors discover a deeper side of Osaka.

Our team includes members who are highly familiar with Japan and have repeatedly traveled across major cities including Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka.

Over the years, we have explored Osaka extensively — from famous destinations like Umeda, Namba, Dotonbori, Osaka Castle, and Kaiyukan, to smaller local neighborhoods, cafes, shrines, shopping streets, and hidden spots often overlooked by guidebooks.

We created this site because we believe memorable travel experiences come from discovering places beyond the standard tourist route.

Many visitors only experience Osaka’s major attractions. However, Osaka also has a quieter, more local side — scenic cafes, neighborhood shrines, relaxing riverside areas, retro streets, family-friendly places, and unique cultural experiences that are easy to miss without local insight.

Our goal is to help travelers experience Osaka more comfortably, confidently, and meaningfully.

Rather than simply listing tourist spots, we focus on practical and experience-based travel information that helps visitors create lasting memories during their stay in Japan.

We also believe tourism can positively support local communities and contribute to Osaka’s long-term cultural and economic vitality.
